Sometimes, when we experience a trauma, these responses remain active even when the threat has disappeared. It is often the small, everyday actions that count the most, not the grand, one off gestures. We are lucky to have a diverse range of clinicians and therapists here at Northside Psychology, all bringing different training pathways and experience to the practice. Do you feel like a broken record stuck on loop, having the same argument over and over? This recurring cycle is a sign that underlying issues aren`t being resolved.

ACL appreciates the comments that we received and discusses them below. Additionally, individual APS workers may face conflicts of interest if they are in a “dual relationship” serving multiple roles for a single client. We proposed dual relationships be permitted only when unavoidable and conflicts of interest should be appropriately mitigated and concluded as soon as feasible. Further, our proposed rule required that APS programs have policies and procedures that ensure conflicts of interests are avoided and, if found, remedied. We proposed that APS have policies and procedures to identify both organizational and individual conflicts of interest. Policies must establish actions and procedures that APS will require employees, contractors, grantees, volunteers, and others in a position of trust or authority to take to remedy or remove such conflicts.
